Josh Goldsmith, M.B.A.While most of my work has been in healthcare, I find that one of the best ways to unwind is to cook something. Whether it is a good ole' stand by or a new recipe, I simply enjoy the process. The best part about cooking is that you get to personally enjoy the fruits of your labor.
It is my passion to not only cook for others, but to help them improve their own skills in the kitchen. My cooking background draws upon mostly Italian and Mediterranean flavors, however I have started to take a deep dive into Barbequing. I have found that you do not have to drop a pretty penny on equipment in order to get an excellent smoked taste. Last year I helped a friend compete in the Virginia State Barbeque competition held in Covington, Virginia. We had a great time and certainly learned more than anything. While we came in dead last (We were disqualified on ribs for turning in the wrong item....rookie team mistake for sure!) Our team has made some changes to not only our recipe but our team. Preparation has begun for our competition coming up at the Château Morissette in September 2014. Please check in to get some great recipes from myself and others. And stay tuned for our progress towards September! |
